Banknote 1000 zloty 1947, SPECIMEN
MODEL of this denomination, unlisted color variant - in gray-blue, series A, consecutive numbering : 1234567, printed "SPECIMEN" on both sides and cross-hatching in red. An attractive piece, confirmed by the high grading note of PMG.
The gray-blue color scheme is noted in the catalog by Czeslaw Miłczak for one of the varieties of 1000 gold 1947 patterns with zero numbering, here in the auction we clearly have the same case but for a pattern with consecutive numbering and with deletions. It's not the kind of intense blue color that is occasionally found on 20 zloty 1946 banknotes, however the difference in shade from the standard 1000 zloty 1947 patterns is strongly noticeable.
Literature : an unlisted variety, like the Miłczak 133Wc - however, in gray-blue.
