Banknote of 2 marks 1940 of the Lodz Ghetto - without series marking, numbering 6-digits in orange.
A rare denomination, due to its low mintage and the quick withdrawal of the 2 mark denomination from circulation, the reason for which was the discovery of a forgery, named after the counterfeiter - the Rauchwerger forgery.
A very nice above-average piece, with satisfactory presentation, numbering from the end of the issue of this denomination. Banknote confirmed by PMG's grading bill, although in this case the banknote's state of preservation was assessed too harshly.
