Boleslaw III the Wry-mouthed, Denarius - Fight with the Dragon
A distinctive denarius with a symbolic motif of a battle between a prince (good) and a dragon (evil).
Av.: A knight piercing the throat of a dragon with a spear.
Rw.: In a triple border, a cross with arms topped with spheres; in the fields, spheres.
Variety with three points in the field between the knight's head and the dragon on the obverse.
Variety with a cross without a central sphere and with spheres in the fields between the arms of the cross on the reverse.

Beautifully struck and preserved coin. Mint state of preservation confirmed by high NGC grade. In this state of preservation the coin is quite rare. A beautiful piece for discerning collectors.
