Boleslaw III the Wrymouth, Denarius - Knight and St. Adalbert.

A type of denarius, the issuance of which was determined by Kazimierz Stronczynski to be after the prince's visit to the tomb of St. Adalbert.
Av: Bishop with book and hand raised to bless and knight with spear and shield, facing.
Rw: Cross with balls and points in fields. In the rim the name of St. Adalbert In the rim the name of the saint ADALBIB6VS
Variety with a large lassoed cross, crossbars on the arms of the cross, and balls and points in the fields between the arms of the cross on the reverse.

Condition: PCGS MS62
A superbly struck and preserved coin for this type. Beautiful relief. Great detail. Fully legible obverse. Intense luster. Coin in mint condition. High grade of PCGS. Quite rare in this state of preservation.
