The highest denomination in the Duchy of Warsaw in 1812 and 1813 on the foot of Dutch ducats.
Av.: Head of Frederick August to the right. In the rim: FRID AVG REX SAX DVX VARSOV
Rw.: Under the crown, encircled by a wreath of palm branches, a two-field shield of arms with the coats of arms of Poland and Saxony. On the sides of the crown the date 18 - 12, at the bottom initials I - B (Jacob Benicke - administrator of the Warsaw mint). In the rim: AUREUS NUMMUS DUCAT VARSOV
Condition: ~ 2+/1-
Scratches on obverse and reverse (visible in photos). Other than that, a beautifully minted and preserved piece. Good relief. Intense luster. A coin with a beautiful presence, which, due to the strength of the luster, unfortunately could not be captured in the photos. Despite the flaws, a very attractive piece.
