First vintage minted two-dukat of Jan II Casimir at the Crown Mint in Poznań. Coin rare and sporadically appearing on the collector's market.

Crown. Under the crown a nine-field shield with the coats of arms of Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, the Goths and the Vasa dynasty. On the sides of the shield initials A - T (of Andrzej Tymf - leaseholder of the Poznan mint)
In the rim an inscription divided at the top by a crown and at the bottom by a shield with the Wieniawa coat of arms (of Boguslaw Leszczynski - Great Treasurer of the Crown): MONET AVREA R - EGN POLON 1652

Condition: NGC MS61
Minor local scarcity and bending, but a beautifully preserved piece. Plastic relief. Beautiful detail. Mint gloss and mirror finish. Very high NGC grade. This is the piece that received the highest NGC MS61 grade and is the only piece with an MS61 grade. In this state of preservation, the coin is extremely rare and practically unavailable on the collector market. A beautiful piece to adorn the most distinguished collections.
