John II Casimir, Tymf 1664 AT, Cracow - error P instead of R - very rare
On the obverse crowned monogram ICR. In the rim a double inscription separated by a crown.
On the reverse a crowned shield of the coat of arms. In the rim the inscription.
On the reverse, on the sides of the shield, the letters A - T (initials of Andrzej Tymf - lessee of the Cracow mint).
Inscription variation ... SALVS on the obverse.
Error - the inscriptions on the reverse used the punca of the letters P instead of R, minted ... APG PEG ... in the rim and GPO in the denomination description - very rare.
State of preservation: 3
Characteristic sheet flaws, but a fully legible and decently preserved piece. Very rare error with the use of the punca P instead of R in the inscription on the reverse. Even in circulated state of preservation, the coin is very rare and difficult to obtain on the collector market. An attractive piece.
