Under the crown, girded with the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece, a nine-field shield with the coats of arms of Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, the Goths and the Vasa dynasty. On the sides of the shield the sign "hooks", initials G - G (Gabriel Görloff - administrator of the Bydgoszcz mint), below the date 16 - 42
In the rim an inscription divided at the top by a crown, and at the bottom by the Order of the Golden Fleece: SAM LIV NEC NO SV - GOT VAN Q HÆ REX
Variety with the sign "hooks" on the right side of the shield coat of arms.
Inscribed variety with the titulature ... POL ... PR MA in the rim on the obverse.
Condition: NGC AU58
A beautifully struck and preserved piece for this type. Beautiful detail. Gloss and lots of mint mirror. Circumstantial state of preservation of the coin confirmed by NGC grading. This is the piece that received the highest NGC AU58 grade and is the only piece with an AU58 grade. In this state of preservation, the coin is extremely rare and practically unavailable on the collector's market. A beautiful piece to adorn the best collections.
