Sigismund I the Old, Half-penny 1518, Vilnius - error, MONTEA - very rare
Variety with a Hound without a sword scabbard (back legs to the rear) on the obverse and an Eagle with the upper feathers pointing towards the Eagle's head (long neck and five feathers) on the reverse.
The inscription variation MONETA ... (without the error MONTEA ...) in the rim on the obverse - very rare for this stamp combination. Paradoxically, the correct spelling turns out to be the rarest inscription variety.
Punctuation variant with a colon after LITVAN
State of preservation: 2/2-
Local scarcities, but a very nicely preserved coin. Gloss and lots of mint mirror. Very rare inscription variety. A very rare coin and very difficult to get on the collector market.
