Sigismund I the Old, Half-penny 1519, Vilnius - 6 feathers - five dot, punctuation - rare
Variety with a Hound without a sword scabbard (hind legs forward) on the obverse and an Eagle with the upper feathers pointing toward the Eagle's head (six feathers) on the reverse .
The letters N on the obverse in mirror image.
Variant of punctuation with a colon after the date and without a punctuation mark after MAGNI... and with five dots after LITVAN - rare.
Date error - digit 5 of the date was punctuated with digit I and digit I of the date was punctuated with digit 9, punctuation I 5/I I/9 9 - rare.
Condition: 2
Minor scratches on the obverse, but a very nicely struck and preserved coin. Gloss and a lot of mint mirror. More interesting and rare punctuation variant. Rare date error. A rare and difficult coin to find on the collector market. A very nice piece for specialized collections.
