Sigismund I the Old, Half-penny 1527, Vilnius - colon - very rare
Variety with a Hound without a sword scabbard (hind legs short) on the obverse and an Eagle with the upper feathers pointing towards the Eagle's head (different number of feathers on the wings) on the reverse.
The letters N on the reverse in mirror image - very rare.
Punctuation variant with a colon after the date - very rare.
Condition: PCGS MS62
A beautifully struck and well-preserved piece. Intense luster and mint mirror all over. Very high PCGS grade for this type of coin. A rare and sought after vintage. A very rare variant with a mirrored N and a sub-date colon. In this state of preservation, the coin is very rare and very difficult to get on the collector market. Piece for discerning collectors.
