Sigismund III Vasa, Ort 1613, Gdansk - dot behind paw - rare and beautiful
Bust of the king facing right.
Variety with a dot behind the bear's paw (the mintmark of Daniel Klüwer - tenant of the Danzig mint) on the reverse.
Variety with balls on the sides of the cross over the Danzig coat of arms - rarer.
Condition: NGC PCGS MS63
A superbly struck and preserved piece. Beautiful, artistic relief. Excellent detail. Charming patina. Gloss and mint mirror all over the surface. Mint condition confirmed by a very high PCGS grade. This is the highest PCGS grade and one of two pieces with an MS63 grade. A rare and underrated vintage. In this state of preservation, the coin is rare and difficult to obtain on the collector market. Piece for the best collections.
