Bust of the king with head facing right with wide orifice.
Renaissance shield with the coat of arms of Gdansk supported by two lions on the reverse.
Variant with a bear's paw in the shield (the mintmark of Daniel Klüwer - tenant of the Danzig mint) on the reverse.
Punctuation variant with a cross ending the obverse inscription on the obverse.
Visible miniature date under the base of the cartouche - quite rare.
Curiosity - a dot separating the word ... MONET-A ... - rare.
Condition: NGC MS63
A superbly struck and preserved piece. Deep, plastic relief. Beautiful detail. Gloss and mint mirror throughout. Very high NGC grade. In this state of preservation, the coin is rare and quite difficult to find on the collector market. A piece for discerning collectors.
