Sigismund III Vasa, Shelrog 1617, Vilnius - C instead of G - beautiful
Variety with abbreviated date 1 - 7 on the sides of the royal monogram on the obverse and a large crown on the reverse.
Bogoria coat of arms (of Hieronim Vollovich - Grand Treasurer of Lithuania) in the rim on the reverse.
The mintmaster's mark "Arrow" (Johan Stippelt - mintmaster of the Vilnius mint), directed along the inscription, ends the obverse inscription on the reverse.
Error - in the titulary of the king the letters C instead of G, SIC III D C ....
Condition: NGC MS63
Slight defects in the disc and slight off-centerness of the obverse, but a superbly struck and preserved piece. Excellent detail. Intense luster and mint mirror throughout. A beautiful piece for discerning collectors.
