The rarest thaler of Stanislaw August Poniatowski noted several times over more than a century. An object of desire for any collector of Poniatowski coins.

Under the crown a five-field shield with the coats of arms of Poland, Lithuania and the Ciołek coat of arms (the Poniatowskis' coat of arms) in the center.
The whole in a wreath of palm and oak leaves with a ribbon with the inscription: PRO FIDE LEGE ET GREGE
with the Order of the White Eagle. On the sides initials I - S (Jan Stockman - administrator of the Warsaw mint)
In the rim an inscription: X EX MARCA PURA - COLONIEN 1769
State of preservation: NGC VF35
Characteristic of this type of coin, minor sheet defects, but a very nicely preserved piece. Good detail. Crude, but nevertheless the highest NGC grade and the only piece. Extremely rare coin and virtually unavailable on the collector market. Perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to add to your collection.
