Cash ticket with the face value of 5 thalers 1810 of the Duchy of Warsaw - numbering in 5 digits, variety with the stamp of the Central Liquidation Commission on the reverse, with the signature of the commissioner - S.H.O. Zamoyski
A beautiful natural piece of the highest denomination of the thaler issue of exceptional presence, with minor traces of circulation. Due to the early years of issuance as well as the delicate, almost "tissue" paper used for their printing, to this day the vast majority of thaler banknotes have been preserved even in agonizing states of preservation, and even these, due to their lack of widespread availability, are eagerly included in collections, especially the 5-taler denomination, whose occurrence is the rarest. In this auction we have an exceptional piece, in a natural light cream shade of paper, both dry stamps excellently preserved and strongly visible. On the reverse side, traces in the corners of the sub-stick (the old way of fixing banknotes). The banknote comes from a well-known collection of Polish banknotes - the Lucow collection, illustrated in the catalog of this collection is also a piece of notable provenance.
A piece confirmed, for this type of banknote - a solid PMG grading bill, only 2 pieces of this denomination are graded higher in the PMG register.
