Banknote 50 zloty 1940 , series D
Until recently, the D series of this banknote was an identical catalog variety (according to Czeslaw Miłczak's catalog) with the other series of this denomination (A, B, C), only the recent revelation that a higher font of the letter itself (D) was used in printing this series caused it to be separated as a separate catalog variety. This series, unlike ser. A, is rarely found in bank or circa-bank condition.
An attractive piece, confirmed by a fairly high PMG grading note.
