Augustus III Sas, Ort 1753 EC, Leipzig
On the obverse bust in profile to the right wearing a crown.
On the reverse a crowned shield of arms. Under the shield the denomination mark 18 and initials E - C (Ernest Dietrich Croll - mincmaster of the Leipzig mint).
The bust is narrow with smooth shoulder straps, a cross-section of the sleeve and a smooth ribbon of the Order of the Golden Fleece.
Crown fields of the obverse and reverse smooth with suspensions in the center fields. On the reverse, pearls on the suspensions.
The clasp brooch is oval with a pearl border.
Reverse variant with eleven leaves.
Punctuation variant with a dot after the date.
Condition: 3+/2-
Coin aggressively washed, but very nicely struck and preserved. A rarer vintage. An attractive coin.
