Crowned bust facing right on obverse.
On the reverse a crowned shield of the coat of arms. Under the shield the denomination mark 18 and initials E - C (Ernest Dietrich Croll - mincmaster of the Leipzig mint).
Small bust with ribbed shoulder straps.
Characteristic hair arrangement.
Crown fields of the obverse and reverse smooth with suspensions in the middle fields.
Brooch of the clasp oval without border.
Reverse variant with seven leaves.
Punctuation variant without a dot after the date.
Condition: NGC AU55
Minor sheet metal defects, but a beautifully struck and preserved piece for this type. Beautiful detail. Mint gloss and mirror finish. High NGC grade. A rare, sought after and highly valued bust. In this state of preservation, the coin is rare and quite difficult to find on the collector market.
