Augustus III Saxon, Ort 1754 EC, Leipzig - wide bust - variety
On the obverse bust in profile to the right wearing a crown.
On the reverse a crowned shield of the coat of arms. Under the shield the denomination marking 18 and initials E - C (Ernest Dietrich Croll - mincmaster of the Leipzig mint).
Bust wide with ribbed ribbon of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Oval brooch with three jewels.
Variety of the reverse with eight leaves.
Crown fields of the obverse and reverse vertically ribbed with suspensions in the center fields.
Ribbon of the Order of the Golden Fleece smooth.
Variant of punctuation without a dot after the date.
Different from the previous flight epaulettes and decorations of the rim of the crown.
Condition: NGC MS64
A beautifully struck and preserved piece. Good detail. Gloss and mint mirror throughout. Mint condition confirmed by a very high NGC grade. A beautiful coin for discerning collectors.
