On the obverse bust in profile to the right wearing a crown.
On the reverse a crowned shield of arms. Under the shield the denomination mark 18 and initials E - C (Ernest Dietrich Croll - mincmaster of the Leipzig mint).
Bust wide with ribbed ribbon of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Oval brooch with three jewels.
Variety of the reverse with eight leaves.
Crown fields of obverse and reverse vertically ribbed with suspensions in the central fields.
Variant of punctuation without a period after the date.
Variant of the epaulettes in relation to the next flight.
Condition: NGC MS65
A superbly struck and preserved piece. Mint luster and mirror throughout. Mint condition confirmed by a very high NGC grade. This is the piece that received the highest NGC MS65 grade and is one of five pieces with an MS65 grade. In this state of preservation, the coin is quite rare and difficult to obtain on the collector market.
