On the obverse bust in profile to the right wearing a crown.
On the reverse a crowned shield of arms. Under the shield the denomination mark 18 and initials E - C (Ernest Dietrich Croll - mincmaster of the Leipzig mint).
Bust wide with ribbed ribbon of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Oval brooch with three jewels.
Variety of the reverse with eight leaves.
Crown fields of obverse and reverse vertically ribbed with suspensions in the central fields.
Variant of punctuation without a period after the date.
Flight variant epaulettes.

Beautifully minted and preserved piece. Plastic relief. Good detail. Gloss and mint mirror all over the surface. A beautiful coin.
