Bust of the king with head facing right with lined collar.
Renaissance shield with the coat of arms of Gdansk supported by two lions on the reverse.
A bear's paw in the shield (the mintmaster's mark of Daniel Klüwer - tenant of the Danzig mint) and a maple leaf begin the obverse inscription on the reverse.
Variant punctuation with a rosette ending the obverse obverse inscription on the obverse and stars before and after the date in the rim on the reverse.
Condition: NGC MS60
Sheet flaw and slight off-centerness, but a beautifully preserved piece. Deep relief. Beautiful detail. Mint gloss and mirror finish. High NGC grade. Rare variety with maple leaf. In this state of preservation, the coin is rare and difficult to find on the collector market.
