Zygmunt III Waza, Sixpence 1601, Malbork - rare and exquisite
Bust of the king facing right.
The coat of arms of Lewart (Jan Firlej - Great Treasurer of the Crown) in the shield is divided at the bottom by the obverse inscription on the obverse.
The characteristic numeral 6 (an atypical denomination) between the shields of the coat of arms, the letter M (the designation of the Malbork mint) above the shields of arms, and the full date 16 - 01 on the sides of the shield with a sheaf (the coat of arms of the House of Vasa).
Variant of punctuation with an ornament at the end of the obverse inscription - rarer.
State of preservation: 1-/1
Slightly fleshed top parts of relief. Brilliantly minted and exquisitely preserved coin. Beautiful relief. Excellent detail. Mint gloss and mirror finish. Rare vintage. Rarer variant with rim ornament on the reverse. In such a state of preservation, the coin is rare and very difficult to get on the collector's market. An exquisite piece for discerning collectors.
